Title Sewerage Scheme for South Somercotes
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2007

Abstract/Summary

Archive for the programme of archaeological monitoring and recording, conducted during the groundworks for the installation of a new sewerage scheme at South Somercotes. Whilst no archaeological features were encountered, a number of undated deposits were identified around the village, and a small assemblage of medieval and post-medieval pottery and brick was recovered. The material was indicative of manuring scatters associated with former agricultural activity in the area.
