Report on the excavation of two trial trenches, dug to inform the construction of an extension to the Stag's Head Inn, at Burwell. The evaluation recorded the remains of a ditch, from which sherds of 13th to 14th century Toynton Medieval ware pottery were recovered, and a probable former well, very likely associated with 19th century activity at the Stag's Head Inn.
