Full Description

A flint backed blade of possible Upper Palaeolithic or early Mesolithic date was recovered in May 2011, during systematic field walking along selected parts of the proposed Covenham Water Treatment Works to Boston Transfer pipeline. The flint was blunted along the right lateral edge and showed evidence for further retouch or damage to the opposite edge, and could potentially be of Upper Palaeolithic or early Mesolithic date. {1}{2}
