Full Description

An unstratified prehistoric flake was recovered during monitoring works for the installation of a new water pipeline between Harrowby and Easton. The flake was the bulb end of a greyish brown flint and shows parallel dorsal flake scars, with evidence of retough along one edge and a hinge fracture, all of which suggests that it is a modified blade, of possible Bronze Age date. {1}{2}
