Full Description

A linear ditch was excavated during monitoring works for the installation of a new water pipeline between Harrowby and Easton. The ditch runs parallel to the projected course of Ermine Street, and was therefore thought to be Roman in date, although the only finds recovered from its fills were a 16th century Nuremburg jetton and a sherd of late post-medieval, blue-and-white china pottery. {1}{2}
