Full Description

Although not included in the actual survey of nonconformist chapels in East Lindsey, several photographs were taken of 'The Reading Room' building, opposite the Wesleyan Methodist chapel, on the High Street, Binbrook. The building is of two phases, with a largely rectangular plan. It is single storey with a tiled roof, and appears to be of red brick, though this has been mostly whitewashed. Only the northern half of the building is depicted on the 1906 Ordnance Survey County Series map, suggesting the larger southern half is a later addition. Given its name, this building likley functioned as a reading room, and may possibly be associated with the former Wesleyan Methodist chapel, directly opposite. {1}{2}{3}
