Full Description

A possible ditched enclosure was identified during a magnetometry survey, conducted in May 2013, on the site of a proposed extension to Whisby Quarry. The survey recorded a number of small magnetic anomalies, thought to represent ditch and pit-like features. Although not conclusively representing a clearly archaeological site, the features are tightly arranged to form what may be a small, roughly oval-shaped enclosure, possibly indicating settlement activity of an unknown date. {1}
