Full Description

Two undated features were revealed during the archaeological monitoring and recording of groundworks for the installation of an electricity cable, on land off Grundy's Lane, Minting. The northernmost feature was a ditch, aligned north-east to south-west, and probably extending into the grounds of the adjacent Minting Priory. The southernmost feature was more difficult to interpret, being broad, shallow, and only partially exposed. It was thought that this was the edge of either a ditch, or a larger feature such as a fish pond, again possibly associated with the adjacent priory. No finds were recovered from either feature, and they remain undated. {1}{2}
