Full Description
A Primitive Methodist chapel, built in 1842.The exact location of this building in the settlement is unknown. {1}{2}
A 'Methodist Chapel (Primitive)' is identified in this area on the 1889 Ordnance Survey County Series map. Although the exact structure referred to is unclear, the depiction indicates that the chapel lay within a small block of buildings, to the west of Ermine Street, between Launde House and the former Angel Inn (now also demolished, but located where the modern road of Angel Court now runs). The chapel is not indicated on the 1905 Ordnance Survey County Series map, suggesting the chapel was demolished around c.1900. {3}{4}
