Full Description
Dry Doddington Wesleyan Methodist chapel was built in 1836. It is unknown when it closed, but it is not labelled on OS maps after the 1950s. Although the chapel is currently disused it does appear to have been used as a warehouse at some point, probably as part of Silverdene Farm to which it is adjacent. The building is of red brick and has a hipped roof, with cogging under the eaves. The building has been heavily altered, with the main doorway and several windows bricked in, as well as the insertion of a new doorway and window on the frontage. The building is in a state of considerable disrepair, but the main structure is still intact. {1}{2}{3}{4}
A local resident reported in February 2015 that the building is still being used for storage and looks the same as it did when the building was surveyed on 24/06/2013. {5}
