Full Description

White Pit Primitive Methodist Chapel was built in 1852. It is of red brick and has a hipped roof with dentillated eaves. It is currently in use as a workshop and has been heavily altered, with the addition of large doors to frontage, and, although extant, is in quite poor condition. Shepherdson states that the chapel was closed when the Primitive Methodists bought the Free Methodists' chapel, located not far to the south. He cannot give a date for this transaction, but it was likely prior to 1889, as this Primitive Methodist chapel is not marked on the OS map of that year. {1}{2}{3}
