Full Description
St Paul's Particular Baptist Church was built in 1911 by John Wills and Sons. According to Pevsner it is "…a typical free Gothic of Nonconformist chapels of its date, with the equally typical asymmetrical NE (ritually SW) tower." Previously the site was occupied by a prefabricated iron chapel, which was dismantled to make way for the new building. The building is of red brick and had a gabled roof. There are stone hood mouldings and ashlar dressings. The tower features crenallations and stone pinnacles. The central window features panel tracery. {1}{2}{3}{4}
