Full Description

Trinity Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was built in 1836, apparently on the same site as an earlier chapel which itself had been moved from another location in 1824. This earlier chapel was built in 1800, but its original site is unknown. The chapel was apparently rebuilt again 1904 to seat 188. It became known as 'Trinity Chapel' after the union of the Louth Circuit in 1933. The building is of red brick and has a gabled roof. It has pointed-arched windows with tracery, stone hood mouldings, and ashlar surrounds. The coping on the raised gabled is also ashlar and there are ashlar string courses, pinnacles and a finial. The roof is of Welsh slate and has decorative ridge tiles. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
