Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Two parallel ditches, running in a north to south direction, were identified during analysis of aerial photographs in 2010. They were visible as cropmarks, though their date remains uncertain; although being on a similar alignment to the eastern-most side of the nearby Roman fort, the cropmarks were not visible on the same aerial photographs as those that show the fort and outworks, and are perhaps of a more recent origin. {1}
