Full Description

The first Methodist Church in Great Steeping was built here in 1833, to seat 95 people. This earlier structure was rebuilt on the same site in 1868, to seat a larger congregation of 120 people. The current structure is of yellow brick and features a gabled roof. The building has round-headed arches, pillasters and a pediment. Alterations were made in 1996, when toilets and a kitchen were installed, and the building was re-roofed in 2006. The chapel closed in 2010 and was not in use in 2013. {1}{2}{3}
