Full Description

Conisholme Wesleyan Methodist chapel was built in 1837. It is of red brick and has a hipped roof. At some point - probably during the building's conversion into a house - the windows were replaced and the roof retiled. {1} The chapel was closed on 17th July 1904 as the result of an agreement with the United Methodist congregation in Saltfleet that they would also close their chapel (see PRN 48972) on the same day, the logic being that there would then be only one nonconformist chapel in each settlement. The Sunday school adjacent to the chapel is United Methodist. After the chapel closed the building was used as the village institute before being converted into a house in 2000. {2}{3}{4}
