Full Description
An Avro Manchester bomber aircraft crashed on land to the south-east of South Hykeham, on the 15th of September 1941. The aircraft was designated L7318 from 207 Squadron, based at RAF Waddington, but crashed on its return to base on a non-operational flight. None of the crew survived the impact. Ammunition from the aircraft's .303 calibre machine guns has been found in the area. {1}{2}
