Full Description
Ridge and furrow earthworks forming part of a medieval field system to the west of Great Steeping, seen on aerial photographs and identified by the National Mapping Programme {1}
Further traces of ridge and furrow were identified on the Google Maps aerial photographic layer, to the south-east of those previously identified. The remains could be seen as a number of adjoining blocks of parallel linear earthworks. The remains of possible former tofts and crofts may also be present at the far south-eastern corner of the group, although this interpreation remains tentative. {2}
