Full Description

Historic Building Recording of 347 to 349 High Street (see PRN 71160) and 1 to 9 Tentercroft Street was undertaken by Mouchel in February 2010. It was determined that 347 to 349 were built around 1842 and the houses on Tentercroft Street were built a short time after this as they are visible on a map dating from 1868. The buildings were built as terraced houses. The phase break in the north and south elevations suggest that they were constructed in increment stages. Extensions were added but were since demolished and they had been heavily modified in the 20th century. {1}
