Full Description

PRN 48642 The possible remains of a Roman settlement were seen as cropmarks on aerial photographs and recorded by the National Mapping Programme. The cropmarks indicate rectilinear ditched enclosures and a number of ditched boundaries which may relate to further enclosures. {1} NMR records on the Pastscape website describe the site as a possible Iron Age or Romano-British settlement. A cropmark extending south from the main concentration of activity is interpreted as a boundary or possible trackway. {2}
