Full Description
PRN 25751
A group from Spalding Baptist Church first met in a building in Bear Lane. By 1818 a Sunday School had been opened. A new chapel was opened in 1844 and the present chapel opened nearby in 1895. A burial ground is indicated on the OS County Series map of 1905 a few hundred yards away from the present chapel. A General Baptist chapel is marked here on the 1888 County Series map and this must be the 1844 chapel. The site of the burial ground and chapel is now occupied by a house. {1}{2}{3}
