Full Description

During a watching brief of topsoil stripping at the Hatton Compressor Station in 2009, unstratified prehistoric flint tools were found. Three cores were found, dating from the late Mesolithic to early Neolithic, early Neolithic and late Neolithic to early Bronze Age. Nine flakes dating from the late Neolithic to early Bronze Age, two late Mesolithic to early Neolithic blades, two late Neolithic to early Bronze Age side scrapers and a late Neolithic to early Bronze Age notched flake were also found. During the evaluation, a possible flint flake dated to the Bronze Age was found. {1}{2}
