Full Description

Post-medieval activity was identified in October 2012, during trial trenching on land off Brayford Wharf East, Lincoln. A wall of yellow bricks, forming part of a building recorded on the Ordnance Survey maps, and a red brick wall were revealed in trench 1. Possible wall foundations, a pit and a possible post hole, which may relate to the earlier buildings on the site (see PRN 71150) were recorded in trench 2. These features all probably date from the post-medieval period. A few sherds of post-medieval pottery were also found on the site. {1}{2}
