Full Description

Two features, thought to be either pits or the termini of linear ditches, were revealed during a scheme of archaeological monitoring on land at Well Vale Drive, Chapel St Leonards. The fills of both features included finds of medieval date, including sherds of 12th to mid 16th century pottery, a sheep or goat bone, and fragments of burnt clay. {1}{2}
