Full Description

A site visit was made to Springwell, 7 Ryland Road, Welton on the 8th May 2012 during the creation of a heritage impact assessment for the property. The building has a datestone which was interpreted to read 1782. The present property is an amalgamation of more than one dwelling and outbuildings although it is not documented as to when this occurred. In the late 20th century, an extension was added to the rear. A tailor's shop was added in the front garden in the late 19th century which was removed in the 20th century. There is also a 19th century outbuilding which was extended and had its roof raised, a pig sty and washhouse or privy. {1}
