A hoard of 8th to 11th century iron artefacts including axes, bowls, a spear head and fittings were found during metal detecting in 2002. They may have been part of a woodworkers hoard or a hoard of scrap iron. The items were donated to The Collection, Lincoln. The only information on the location of the finds is that they came from Millfield, Torksey. They may have been found at Millfield golf club which is actually located in the parishes of Kettlethorpe and Fenton. {1}
