Six trenches were excavated on land at the Priory Ruskin Academy, Grantham by Pre-Construct Archaeology in August 2011. Furrows were found during excavation of trenches one, two, three, four and six. Two of the furrows contained Medieval to post-Medieval pottery and residual Roman pottery. {1}{2} North-south aligned earthwork remains of Medieval or post-Medieval ridge and furrow are visible on LIDAR imagery of the cricket pitch to the south of the academy buildings.
