Full Description

A pit was revealed by Allen Archaeological Associates during trial trenching on land to the rear of 6 Rasen Lane, Lincoln in September 2011. The pit contained Roman pottery, nine fragments of animal bone, oyster shell and a bone hairpin. {1}{2} During a watching brief on land adjacent to 6 Rasen Lane in September 2011, two undated cess pits were revealed that may be related to the Roman pit found during the trial trenching. {3}{4}
