Full Description

A pit containing three sherds of 13th to 14th century pottery was found during trial trenching in June 2004 to March 2005 by Archaeological Project Services. {1}{2} Three ditches were revealed during archaeological monitoring by Archaeological Project Services of excavations at The Willoughby School, Bourne in July 2011. These ditches were sealed by a layer which contained 12th to 14th century pottery, two fragments of animal bone and an undated feature. {3}{4}
