Full Description

A photographic building recording was undertaken by the owner. The building is two storeys of red brick, with a gabled roof and a range of outbuildings behind. The building is not present on the first edition County Series Ordnance Survey map of 1887 but is present on the following edition map of 1906. A graffito date of 1902 carved into a brick on the western gable end of the house probably gives the date that the house was built. {1} Dairy Farm (Skinner's Lane Farm), Middle Rasen. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of L plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within a loose farmstead cluster. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
