Full Description

A photographic survey was undertaken by Naomi Field Consultancy at the Old Chapel, Main Road in October 2010 prior to conversion of the building to a house. The Wesleyan Chapel was built in 1871 and closed in 1995. It was built of red brick although the front elevation is of yellow brick. The chapel consists of a hall and a meeting room to the rear and outside there is an earth closet with the original wooden seat. {1}{2} This building replaced an earlier chapel on the site, built in 1833. {3}{4}
