Full Description

During archaeological monitoring and recording of trial pits at the Market Place, Boston in July 2010 by Archaeological Project Services, an 18th to 19th century brick surface, possibly part of the former Meat Cross recorded on the 18th century plans was revealed in trial pit 1. Post medieval brick, cattle bone and oyster shell were also found in trial pit 4 and a sherd of 18th to 19th century pottery was found in trial pit 5. {1}{2}
