Full Description

PRN 25734 Chainbridge farmhouse dates approximately to 1840, it was originally built of brick with sash windows possibly with stone sills but it has now undergone significant alterations and extensions including covering the building with render which obscures much of the historic fabric. The adacent outbuilding was originally much larger, as shown on the 1905 map, but has now been demolished in part. {1} Chain Bridge Farm, Crowland. 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of U plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. The farmhouse is the only surviving historic structure. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {2}
