Possible remains of ridge and furrow were seen in the field adjacent to the site during a watching brief. It is suggested that the edge of the ridge and furrow field ran along the alignment of Aswardby Road and that there may have been a headland along the edge of the road, or that the road runs along the alignment of the headland. {1}{2}
