Full Description
The Particular Baptist Chapel was built in 1834 and remodelled in 1900 by J.B. Corby in a coarse Italianate style. {1}
The chapel is of stone and brick, with dressed stone quoins to the side and rear elevation, and a gabled Welsh slate roof. It has a raised gable with stone coping, pilasters and finial. It was built in 1834 by John George de Merveilleux, with seats for 800. It remained private property until 1862, and was largely rebuilt in 1900. {2}{3}
