This house was built by the architect Edward Browning as his office in the 1850s. {1}
This house contains some 15th century fragments which are the result of work by the architects J.C. Traylen and his son H.F. Traylen who were engaged in the restoration of local churches in the early 20th century. It is not known where all of the fragments came from but some of the finest are from Exton and Empringham. {2}
