Full Description

During an archaeological watching brief on the groundworks for an extension of the former Waggon and Horses public house, Lincoln, in January 2010, wall footings and a back yard surface of the former 19th century residential dwellings, which were demolished in the 1960s, were revealed. Wall foundations including a cellar wall with a carved roof support and a stone slab floor, all of 19th century origin and probably associated with the public house, constructed in the 1830s, were also found. {1}{2}
