Full Description

During trial trenching undertaken by Pre-Construct Archaeology in December 2002 at The Nurseries, Bottesford Road, Allington, a linear feature, possibly a drain or a garden feature, which contained glazed stoneware pottery, was revealed in Trench 2. A further linear feature, possibly a robber trench for a limestone boundary wall, which contained an 18th century cup with residual paint inside, was found. 15th to 17th century pottery was also found in Trench 4. {1}{2}
