Full Description

During a watching brief undertaken in 2007 by Pre-Construct Archaeology at Rectory Farm, West Deeping a series of Romano British features were revealed. In Area C, a pit, possibly a waterhole, containing large granite cobble fragments and sherds of 2nd to 3rd century pottery was found. In Area 4B, a ditch containing late Iron Age to early Romano British pottery, other ditches containing late 3rd to 4th century pottery and a late Roman ditch was uncovered. {1}{2}
