The United Free Methodist chapel is indicated on the 1904 OS County Series map. It was built in 1872 and closed around 1998. It is now in use as a house and a modern duplicate cell has been erected behind (2010). The fomer chapel is built of red brick with darker red brick dressings and has a gabled roof with a modern slate covering. The front gable elevation has a gabled porch with a round-arched doorway and a divided fanlight. Above the porch is a stone tablet inscribed 'Free Methodist Church Erected 1872'. The side elevations have two bays of segmental-headed windows with glazing bar sashes and dentil brick eaves cornices. The lean-to annexe appears to be original. {1}{2}{3}{4}
