Full Description

A three-storey, pavilion plan general hospital with chapel. It was built in 1876 to 1878 to designs by Alexander Graham. A fever block was added in 1885 and an outpatients' department in 1891. The building underwent alterations in 1914 which were designed by William Gregory Watkins and included the addition of a Nurse's Home. Further alterations took place in 1922, 1933, 1942 and 1944. {1}
