Full Description

PRN 25661 The chapel is indicated on the OS 1:10000 map. It was built in 1935 and probably superseded the former Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels in Gosberton Clough (no longer extant) following the unification of the Methodist Church in 1932. The chapel is built of red brick with red brick and stone dressings. It has a gabled roof with a covering of plain terracotta tiles. The raised gable has stone copings. The two and three-light windows have pointed arches and intersecting gothic glazing bars with quatrefoils in the apex and leaded stained glass in art nouveau style. A stone tablet, set in a pointed-arched recess in the gable elevation, is inscribed 'The Methodist Church MCMXXXV'. The Sunday School with the same features is attached at 90 degrees.{1}{2}
