Full Description

PRN 14495 An archaeological watching brief during excavation of foundation trenches for extensions to 59 to 61 High Street, Boston, in September 2009, revleaed post medieval features and finds. The earliest feature was a late 17th to mid 18th century brick built vaulted sewer. There was also a late 18th century brick wall foundation, post medieval pits from a similar date and another wall foundation dating from the late 18th to mid 19th century. Within various deposits, 18th century clay pipe, mid 17th to early 20th century pottery and medieval bricks and roof tiles. Three undated wells were also revealed. {1}{2}
