Full Description
A sub-oval pit measuring 1.0 x 0.5m x 90mm deep was cut into the underlying sandy clay. The fill of the pit contained burnt stone and charcoal, but did not produce any dated evidence. The pit lay immediately beneath the modern topsoil. {1} {2}
