Full Description

A dark brown sandy layer, 0.4 - 0.9m thick, was encountered during a watching brief in September 2008 by Marc Berger, at Partney House, Partney. Although recorded as a layer, possible cut features referred to by Marc Berger indicate that the deposit might have filled one or more rubbish pits. A number of medieval pot sherds were recovered from the deposit (see PRN 44538). {1}{2}
