Full Description
Remnants of undated ridge and furrow were encountered during a programme of trial trench evaluation carried out by Archaeological Project Services at the former Quarrington Primary School, Grantham Road, Sleaford, in January 2009. Two furrows were identified in a trench situated to the south of the extant school. The features ran parallel on a northwest to southeast alignment, with a five metre gap between. They contained a sandy clay deposit, which extended throughout the majority of the trench and may be regarded as a relict ploughsoil. {1}{2}
