Full Description

This is a building identified as of historical interest by the South Holland District Council Local List. It is a good example of this style of building of this period and survives with only a few changes to its original construction. There is no further information available at this time. To be reviewed. {1} Former school and schoolmaster's house. Single storey buff brick schoolroom in English Garden Bond, under a pitched gabled slate roof. One small lean-to and one small gable extension. Two storey buff brick building in Flemish Bond with a gabled porch. Two gable stacks. {2} The Trafford Free School was founded in 1740 by Dame Martha Trafford. A school room was erected in 1820, and replaced in 1861. The schoolmaster's house was built in 1826. {3}
