Full Description

PRN 65612 This chapel was built in 1883 and superseded the former chapel next to it which became the Sunday School (PRN 61700). It is built of rusticated limestone and has a slate roof with raised gables with stone copings and kneelers. It has a broad five-bay front with a central doorway set in a gabled porch and flanked by lancet windows with stone dressings and replacement metal window frames. The porch has a raised gable and an original window with green leaded glass. The double doorway is set in a pointed arch with a moulded and chamfered hoodmould.The gable elevation has a stepped three- light gothic window between stepped buttresses and an inserted door. The rear elevation has four bays of lancet windows separated by buttresses. The roof has dormer windows inserted to the front and velux windows to the rear. A floor has been inserted.
