Full Description
A 1619 hospice, now barn with underwent alterations in the 19th century. It was constructed of coursed limestone rubble, some red brick and some stock brick. It has a pantile roof and the north side had a large rectangular opening which was blocked with rubble and brick. Unnamed farmstead, Hemswell Cliff. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of L plan. The farmhouse is attached to a range of working buildings. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {2}
