Full Description

An 18th century barn and stable, built of coursed limestone rubble with a pantile roof and raised stone coped gables and kneelers. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} A photographic survey was undertaken of the barn at Scothern Cliff Farmhouse in October 2011 and March 2012. According to the house deeds, there was a farmhouse at this location in 1850. However it is clear that the present building was constructed much earlier than this. There is a barn, stable and grain store, or hayloft. {2} Scothern Cliff Farmhouse, Scothern. Partially extant 18th century farmstead.
